One of the most important things that you can have available on your big day is wedding emergency kit. Brides and guests alike will be forever grateful if there is a few backup items and handy things in the reception space in case of an issue. It helps to alleviate some stress and ensure a smooth day for everyone involved. Here are some of the most important things to include when putting together your bag of backups!
Wedding Emergency Kit Essentials
Band-aids: You never know what may happen and band-aids are a must have. From blisters on your feet to a slip and fall, keep these on hand at all times.
Needle and Thread: For when a seam splits or a button goes missing, you will be thankful you included this in your kit.
Safety Pins: Used for anything, from fixing a loose strap, to keeping linens in place, these are a cheap but useful inclusion.
Tylenol/Advil: This is an obvious one! From too-tight up-do’s, to uptight moms, and everything in between, these will be a hit to have around.
Benadryl: We’ve seen some pretty unfortunate allergic reactions and nervous hives on wedding days; anti-histamines are the way to go to save the day.
Gravol: Whether it’s a nervous stomach or a food reaction, another major must-have is something to settle the tummy.
Breath Mints: Who wants the first kiss to be stinky?! No one. Breath mints are the best way to ensure you are fresh, and that you aren’t chewing gum in any pics!
Bobby pins: If you hair starts to fall or your bangs get in the way, it’s important to have a few backup pins to save the day.
Lint roller: No one wants the groom or his men heading down the aisle covered in fluff. Make sure you ‘lint roll’ them before the photographer can see!
Tissues: Stop the crying eyes and sniffly noses with some discreet and hidden tissues.
Tide to go: We’ve seen everything from wine spills to bloody noses, and a cleaning stick will solve all the stain problems you can find.
Deodorant: Keep yourself smelling fresh all day and keep the sweat away with an extra stick of deodorant on hand.
We recommend putting these together in a makeup bag or tote to have on hand. Some brides & grooms are even choosing to make these items up in fun baskets and having them placed in the bathrooms so that guests can have access to them as well! It makes a great and thoughtful addition to any wedding.
