Leather has recently gained a place in everyone’s wardrobe – an absolute essential. This season try to focus on looser fitting garments such as baggier pants, skirts and shapeless dresses. Designers DKNY, Reed Krakoff, Helmut Lang and Jill Stuart have all incorporated leather in their collections.
Stylish innovation has been a hot trend on the runway recently. Designers such as Iris Van Herpen, Alexander Wang, Acne Studios and Alexander McQueen are all great references for this trend.
The popular baby blue color of the 90’s seems to be making a comeback this season. Designers such as Moschino, Burberry, Wes Gordon, Vionnet and Dior have all incorporated this trend in their collections.
This season, countless designers have traded in traditional prints for embellishments aimed to create a more realistic, 3D version of print. Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Marni and Dries Van Noten have all adapted this trend.
