You can track your weight loss results over time and even get nutritional information. You can connect with friends on the app and keep each other motivated with likes and comments too. Access the tool through the web app or beautiful mobile apps.
Want to make tracking your exercise and calories even easier? Invest in a fitness tracker. There are lots of them on the market, but I think the FitBit line is the best value for the money. It’ll run you around $100, and for that you get a device that attaches to your wrist or clips to your clothing that will track calories burned, steps per day, stairs climbed, and active minutes. It has a great mobile app that allows you to read your stats and some models also have a sleep tracker. It even talks to other apps, like MyFitnessPal, automatically giving you credit for calories burned.
There are a tonne of online magazines that talk about fitness, but one that I’ve discovered that is both meaty and non-intimidating is BossFit Magazine. With categories like Sweat, Eat, and Vibe, this mag offers something for everyone, from healthy eating tips to workout motivation and even educational articles. One of the secrets to getting healthy is to find ways to stay motivated, and reading good quality, informative stuff is key to that. This magazine fits the bill.
Of course, all the tools in the world aren’t going to get your butt to the gym. You have to do that yourself. Tools themselves can help you stay motivated and keep track of how you’re doing, but getting fit is up to you. Have fun!
