Burlington Sound of Music Festival

Considered one of the best festivals in the GTA, and in the province, Burlington’s Sound of Music festival returns again this year for 4 days of entertainment and fun. For over 35 years, Canada’s Largest Free Music Festival has thrilled their visitors with amazing performers, great food, enjoyable games, and everything in between. Annually, the festival attracts upwards of 200,000 visitors to the lakefront of Burlington, and ensures a good time for all. The organizers always include a mix of artists and bands from all styles of music, ensuring that everyone will find something they like.

Once again this year, the Sound of Music Festival returns on Father’s Day weekend, running from June 18th to 21st. The festival prides itself on the volunteers that give up their time to continue to run the festival, and ensuring that the ecological impact stays low. Over 800 volunteers help out every year, as the Festival leadership is only run year round by three employees. Another major element of the Festival is their commitment to fairly compensating the talent, and ensuring that the event stays free for the visitors. They also dedicate themselves to recycling and waste management, in order to lower their ecological impact.

This year, over 10 stages will be filled with music and entertainment for the hundreds of thousands of visitors that are sure to make their way to the festival. Not only do they keep the music going for four days, they also provide a great platform for new and upcoming artists to showcase their talents. This year, bands from all over North America will come to Burlington to provide entertainment. Everyone from Hollerado to David Wilcox, to Shad and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will be in the city to bring their sounds to the visitors. Be sure to head to the website and check out the lineup, the details and all of the info so you can participate in the fantastic festival!
