TO Food Fest: The Best Treats in Town in One Place

By Sarah Khalid

What I love about Toronto is that every weekend there seems to be an event that gives you permission to eat anything and everything that you want.

With a group of friends in tow, I attended TO Food Fest and was not disappointed. There were a ton of vendors and they all offered something unique for your taste buds. Here are a couple examples of delicious things that I tried!

I had amazing popcorn from Sweet Pop, a business that specializes in gourmet popcorn. They offered three different flavors, including: S’mores, Cookies & Cream and Birthday Cake. I can’t put into words how good all three were and I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to go back to eating plain popcorn again!

I also tried some ginger soda made right in front of me by Little Tomato Catering. It was the perfect drink to cool down with as the sun was. They also offered a flavor called “Peaches and Cream” which was very popular with the people attending the event.

There were many savory food stands that offered everything from barbequed squid to Greek style poutine. There was definitely something for everyone.

So, if you’re up for a delicious adventure, make sure to check out TO Food Fest when it comes back next year – trust me, you do not want to miss out!
